Harrisburg is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Harrisburg is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I really enjoyed stopping here and eating. The momos were really good and I also got samosas that were phenomenal. My boyfriend had the soup, which was really good as well. We got 2 drinks (mint and sugarcane juice), both were pretty good, the sugarcane is super sweet so if you have a sweet tooth Id recommend it. The mint is like a sprite flavor & is carbonated if you like a soda this is a good drink to order!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere at Mom’s MoMo and Deli! The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve been transported to a small Nepali village. The decorations bring back memories of Nepal, and I especially loved the bamboo-style façade. Even though some of it is wallpaper, it’s done so well that it really gives you that authentic village feeling. 🇳🇵 The whole place feels warm, cozy, and nostalgic. For anyone who grew up in Nepal or misses home, the atmosphere alone takes you back. Great job creating a little piece of Nepal right here in Harrisburg! Highly recommended!

This was our second visit to this restaurant. Last time, the food was not good, but we thought it might be better this time since many other places were closed, and we were very hungry. This time, the momo was really delicious, and we enjoyed it a lot. The chowmein was also very good. However, the sekuwa was disappointing. It was cooked in too much oil with onions and mustard oil, and it had a strong smell. We were expecting it to be juicy, but it turned out very dry and crunchy instead. When we gave this feedback at the reception, we were shocked by the response. We were told astai ho sabai le astai khanxa Tannai janxa literally ae words use garnu vako thiyo which felt quite rude. We are also from the restaurant industry, and when customers give feedback, we usually ask what went wrong and try to improve it next time. That is the right way to handle customer concerns. We kindly request the staff to please be more polite and professional when speaking with customers.

Mom's MoMo and Deli is a delicious and authentic Nepali restaurant worthy of all the praise it receives. I went with two of my friends, one is from Nepal. We ordered jhol, pan-fried, and grilled momo, alongside chow mein. The jhol momo is steamed in a delicious soup-base, which we used to dip the other momos because it was so good. We ordered the mild version, and it has a very small kick, the perfect amount of spice for our palettes. I liked opening a hole in the momo to put the soup in. I am a big fan of Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and this filled my craving even more than I thought it could, it was delicious. The chow mein had pieces of grilled meat, but it was much more crisp than meat and a little chewy, I wasn't a big fan of that, but the noodles were great and the flavor was there. It is also worth mentioning that my Nepali friend said it was "one of the best chow mein's [she] has ever had." The service was phenomenal, with the man taking our order offering recommendations and different opinions about what we might like. He was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had a traditional Nepali atmosphere, even offering a place to sit and eat at tables without chairs.

Mom's Momo and Deli is an easy 5⭐ and a true hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibes, the warm and welcoming people, and the beautiful decor make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into Nepal. There’s something really special about the atmosphere—it feels authentic, cozy, and full of heart. The food completely lives up to the experience. We tried the jhol momo and puri tarkari, and both were incredible. The flavors tasted fresh, rich, and genuinely homemade—like comfort food done right. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. We made the trip all the way from Washington, DC just to try it, and it was 100% worth it. If you’re even thinking about going, just do it—this is a must-try, must-have spot that you’ll want to come back to again and again!
